A 15-year-old girl has been charged with attempted murder after another teenage girl was seriously injured in a stabbing in Adelaide’s western suburbs.

South Australia Police said emergency services were called to Ferryden Park at about 1 p.m. on Monday, September 21, following reports of a stabbing.

Teen Victim Taken to Hospital
Police said the victim, a 16-year-old girl, was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The circumstances surrounding the attack remain under investigation.

Suspect Arrested
A 15-year-old girl from Para Hills was arrested and charged with attempted murder. Police said her bail was refused.

She was expected to appear in the Adelaide Youth Court on Tuesday.

Authorities said the incident is not believed to have been random and that the two teenagers were known to each other.
