Family of Taylen Mosley Speaks Out After Florida Toddler Was Found in an Alligator’s Mouth

The family of 2-year-old Taylen Mosley faced an unimaginable tragedy in St. Petersburg, Florida, in March 2023, after both the toddler and his mother, 20-year-old Pashun Jeffery, were found dead.

Jeffery was discovered inside her apartment on March 30. Taylen was reported missing, prompting authorities to launch a search. The following day, officers searching near Dell Holmes Park and Lake Maggiore found an alligator carrying the child’s body. Police shot the animal to recover him.

Family members later spoke publicly about their grief and the difficulty of processing the loss of both mother and son. Relatives remembered them as deeply connected and said they wanted people to remember the love they shared rather than only the circumstances of their deaths.

Taylen’s father, Thomas Mosley, was charged with two counts of first-degree murder in connection with the deaths. The charges and allegations were part of the criminal investigation.

The case devastated the family and community, leaving loved ones to mourn two lives lost under heartbreaking circumstances.
