Catherine Zeta-Jones celebrated her shared birthday with husband Michael Douglas on Friday, September 25, marking the occasion with a heartfelt message to the actor.

The Welsh actress turned 57, while Douglas celebrated his 82nd birthday. Zeta-Jones posted a photo of the couple kissing in tropical blue waters while wearing sunglasses.

“Happy Birthday darling! A birthday kiss to my husband Michael, sharing this special day with you, is as special as the day itself. Love you,” she wrote on Instagram.

The couple’s shared birthday has become a special occasion for the family. Cameron Douglas, Michael’s 47-year-old son from his previous marriage to Diandra Luker, also sent birthday wishes to his father and Zeta-Jones.

“Happy happy Birthday to two of the greatest people I know…here’s to many more years filled with Love and Happiness,” Cameron wrote.

Michael and Zeta-Jones have two children together, daughter Carys Douglas, 23, and son Dylan Douglas, 26.

The couple first met at the Deauville Film Festival in 1998 and married in 2000. They celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary on November 18 last year.

For their silver wedding anniversary, Zeta-Jones shared memories from their wedding day at New York City’s Plaza Hotel, where guests included Goldie Hawn, Steven Spielberg and Sharon Stone.

“25 years ago today, I walked down the aisle,” Zeta-Jones wrote at the time, recalling the flowers, candles, Welsh choir and the moment she saw Douglas waiting for her at the end of the aisle. She added that she loved him as much as she had on their wedding day.

Zeta-Jones’ birthday celebration came only days after she marked another family milestone: her father David Jones’ 80th birthday on September 17.

The actress shared a selfie with her father on Instagram and Facebook, writing, “Happy Happy 80th Birthday Dad!!” She also expressed her love and gratitude for having him as her father.

The birthday celebrations offered another glimpse into the close family life Zeta-Jones and Douglas have shared throughout their long marriage.
