Thousands Gather in Türkiye for a Major Aerospace and Technology Festival

Visitors of all ages are gathering at Şanlıurfa GAP Airport in Türkiye for TEKNOFEST Southeast, a large aerospace and technology festival running from September 30 to October 4, 2026.

The event features technology competitions, airshows, science workshops, exhibitions, simulation areas and other activities designed for families, students and technology enthusiasts.

Technology Takes Center Stage

Young participants are competing in a wide range of technology challenges, including rocket development, unmanned aerial vehicles, artificial intelligence and robotics.

The festival’s official program includes competitions across dozens of categories, giving students and technology teams an opportunity to present projects they have developed during the year.

Airshows and Interactive Activities

Visitors can also watch air demonstrations and explore technology displays throughout the festival grounds.

Other activities include science shows, workshops, exhibitions, simulation experiences and areas where visitors can learn more about aerospace and emerging technologies.

A Festival for Different Generations

Organizers have designed the event to appeal to more than technology specialists. Families and children can take part in educational activities while older students and university teams compete in technical challenges.

Attendance at the festival is free, although visitors are required to register in advance because access is subject to capacity limits.

Young People at the Heart of the Event

One of the main features of TEKNOFEST is its focus on young people and student projects. Teams can compete in areas ranging from model satellites and rockets to robotics and agricultural technologies.

The festival gives participants an opportunity to demonstrate their ideas to visitors while learning from other teams and technology professionals.

TEKNOFEST Continues Through October 4

TEKNOFEST Southeast will continue at Şanlıurfa GAP Airport through October 4. The event combines competitions, educational activities and public demonstrations in a setting that brings technology closer to visitors of different ages.

For many attendees, the festival offers an opportunity to see experimental technology, watch aircraft demonstrations and discover projects created by young innovators in one place.
