Woman Found Dead at a Village Property
Two men have been charged with murder after a 33-year-old woman was found dead at a property in Hogsthorpe, Lincolnshire, England.
Police were called to a property on Thames Street shortly after 9am on September 29, where they discovered Hayley Ann Marson. Her death has since become the subject of a major investigation.
Two Men Appear in Court
John Scott, 52, and John Welby, 65, have both been charged with murder in connection with Marson’s death.
The two men appeared at Lincoln Crown Court on October 5 and were remanded in custody. A provisional trial date has been set for March next year, while further hearings are scheduled as the case moves through the court process.

Family Pays Tribute to Hayley
Following her death, Marson’s family described her as a loving daughter, sister, granddaughter and aunt.
In a statement released through police, the family remembered her as a gentle and caring person with a “heart of gold”. They said she brought laughter and happiness to the people around her and would be deeply missed.
Police Continue to Investigate
Detectives from Lincolnshire Police’s Major Crime Unit are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding Marson’s death.
Police have said multiple lines of enquiry remain ongoing as officers work to build a full picture of what happened. Investigators have also said they believe the incident was isolated and that there is no wider risk to the public.
Case Now Moving Through the Courts
The latest court appearance marks another stage in the investigation. The two defendants remain in custody while the legal process continues.
No verdict has been reached, and the allegations against both men remain matters for the court to determine. The investigation and court proceedings are expected to continue in the coming months.
