Cheerleading Coach and Mother of 3 Allegedly Killed by the Man She Once Loved
Cheerleading Coach and Mother of Three Found Dead: Police Point to Someone She Trusted

Rosalin S. Lewis, a 24-year-old cheerleading coach and mother of three young children, was found dead at an apartment complex in Jasper, Texas, in November 2023. Her death left her family and local community devastated.
According to Law&Crime, police responded to the Myrtis Village Apartments around 4 a.m. on November 18, 2023, and found Lewis’s body. Investigators said she died from blunt-force trauma.
Authorities accused her boyfriend, William Christian Thomas, who was 23 at the time, of killing her. According to a statement from police cited in the report, the pair had argued, and Thomas allegedly attacked Lewis while she was asleep. He was charged with murder and held on a $1 million bond.
Lewis was more than a victim in a criminal case. She helped co-found Stunning Stars Cheer & Dance with her mother during her senior year of high school. She also coached young cheerleaders and offered private lessons, while raising three children who were reportedly just 2, 3, and 5 years old.

A fundraising campaign created to help her family described the loss as the act of someone she had trusted and once loved. Her death left three young children without their mother and a community mourning a coach remembered for her dedication to the young people she taught.
