Supermodel Gisele Bündchen has opened up about becoming a mother for the third time, describing the birth of her youngest son as a “gift” that has changed her priorities and perspective on life.

Bündchen, 46, discussed motherhood and her family in an interview with i-D 377. She welcomed her third child, a boy, in February 2025 with her husband, Joaquim Valente, when she was 44.

The model, who is also mother to daughter Vivian, 13, and son Benjamin, 16, said having another baby at this stage of her life feels different because she no longer feels pressured to meet other people’s expectations.

She said she feels free to choose how she wants to live her life and does not consider herself defined by the opinions of others.

Bündchen also spoke about how motherhood has influenced her approach to work. She said she turns down the vast majority of job offers because she wants to be present for important moments in her children’s lives.

She explained that she often considers whether accepting a job would mean missing activities such as her daughter’s volleyball games, spending time at the park with her son or watching her son DJ.

Bündchen shares her two older children with her former husband, Tom Brady.

Looking back on 2025, Bündchen said becoming a mother again had reshaped her time, priorities and emotions. In an end-of-year Instagram post, she reflected on the pregnancy and the moments she shared with her youngest child and Valente.

She described the year as one of deep lessons and personal growth, saying she was grateful for the experiences that had changed her in ways that were difficult to fully express.

After giving birth, Bündchen also discussed the challenges of adjusting to life with a newborn. She told Vogue France that her routine had changed significantly, particularly because of the impact of sleep on daily life.

She later said that once her baby began sleeping through the night, she felt more in control of her routine. Despite the challenges of early motherhood, Bündchen said being able to stay home with her children and enjoy time with them was priceless.
