Lizzo Speaks Out After Lawsuit Dismissal

Lizzo is speaking publicly about the legal battles that have followed her in recent years, saying she no longer feels the need to defend herself against every allegation after one lawsuit against her touring company was dismissed.

Lizzo Says She Has Chosen a Different Approach

During an appearance on Sunday TODAY, the Grammy-winning singer reflected on the lawsuits that have affected her career and public image. She said she is trying to focus on growth rather than constantly responding to criticism.

One Lawsuit Was Dismissed

A discrimination and harassment lawsuit filed by former wardrobe assistant Asha Daniels against Lizzo’s touring company was dismissed in September. The judge ruled that the claims did not establish the type of workplace hostility or discrimination required under federal law.

Daniels’ lawyer disagreed with the decision and said the legal team was considering its next steps.

Lizzo Says She Is “Not a Fighter”

In the new interview, Lizzo said she does not feel compelled to fight every accusation publicly. Instead, she described herself as someone who would rather focus on love, personal growth and moving forward.

Her comments come after years of intense public scrutiny surrounding allegations made against her and members of her touring operation.

Other Legal Claims Are Still Pending

The dismissal of Daniels’ case does not end all of the legal disputes involving Lizzo. Three former backup dancers continue to pursue separate allegations involving sexual and racial harassment and an allegedly hostile workplace.

Lizzo has denied wrongdoing in the allegations and has challenged the claims through the courts.

A New Chapter for the Singer

Despite the controversy, Lizzo has continued working on her music and attempting to rebuild her career. Her latest comments suggest that she wants the next stage of her public life to focus less on legal battles and more on her work and personal growth.
