Seven Missing Women Linked to Philadelphia “House of Horrors” Investigation
PHILADELPHIA, Pennsylvania — September 19, 2026

A sprawling investigation into a home in Philadelphia’s Olney neighborhood has now linked seven missing women to the property, as police and the FBI examine more than one million digital files recovered from the house.

Authorities say they believe at least five of the women may be dead based on images and videos found inside the home. However, investigators have not recovered human remains and have cautioned that the digital evidence still requires additional corroboration.

Investigation Began With an Arrest
The investigation began in June after Philadelphia police and a U.S. Park Ranger encountered 44-year-old Eugene Horsch near Independence Mall.

Horsch was allegedly carrying firearms, drugs and identification documents that falsely represented him as a federal law-enforcement officer. A woman who was with him was also carrying identification belonging to Blair Tonzelli, a woman reported missing in 2023.

The discovery led investigators to search Horsch’s home on West Chew Avenue in Olney.

More Than 1 Million Digital Files Found
Investigators say they recovered more than one million digital images, videos and other files from the property.

Police have identified 58 people appearing in the material. Some individuals have been located alive, while investigators are still working to identify and interview others.

Authorities said several images and videos appear to show women who are injured, unconscious or possibly deceased. Police have stressed that some footage could involve staged or fictional activity and that they need additional evidence to determine what actually occurred.

Seven Missing Women Connected to the Case
Among the women linked to the investigation are Blair Tonzelli, Amy McHale, Maribel Fresses, Nicole Fusaro and Gabrielle Amarando.

Two additional women have not been publicly identified.

Police say some of the digital evidence indicates that several of the women may have died. The Philadelphia Medical Examiner’s Office has also reviewed images involving three women and advised investigators that, if the images are authentic and unaltered, the women depicted appear to be deceased.

No Bodies Have Been Found
Despite extensive searches of the property, authorities have not recovered human remains from the home.

Police have excavated portions of the property and examined possible underground areas while continuing to analyze evidence. Investigators say the lack of physical remains means they cannot yet establish exactly what happened to the women.

One particularly disturbing video is believed by investigators to show Raymond “R.C.” Horsch, Eugene Horsch’s late father, strangling a woman. Sources have linked the woman to missing Philadelphia resident Nicole Fusaro, although authorities have not publicly confirmed her identity in the footage.

Investigation Remains Ongoing
R.C. Horsch died in 2025 and was never charged in connection with the disappearances.

His son, Eugene Horsch, remains in federal custody on separate charges. He has not been charged in connection with the missing women.

Police and FBI investigators are continuing to examine hundreds of thousands of remaining files and search for physical evidence that could establish what happened to the women.

Authorities have asked anyone with information about the missing women or the Olney property to contact Philadelphia police.
