Madalina Apostol, a glamorous influencer and mother of three, has died at the age of 40, just weeks after sharing an emotional birthday message in which she spoke publicly about choosing life.

Apostol, who divided her time between Los Angeles and Mexico, died Sunday, according to her longtime partner, millionaire businessman Nick Radoi, who described her death as an unimaginable tragedy.

Behind her polished social-media presence, Apostol had reportedly been privately dealing with serious physical and emotional struggles. According to Radoi, she had been battling an autoimmune condition associated with severe pain, as well as previous struggles with depression that had led her to seek psychiatric care in Romania.
