Alexander Brothers’ Life Behind Bars Takes a Troubling Turn After Reported Prison Attack

The three Alexander brothers, once prominent figures in the luxury real estate world, are facing a very different reality after receiving lengthy federal prison sentences for sex trafficking.
Tal, Oren and Alon Alexander were each sentenced to 30 years in prison in New York on October 27, 2026, following their convictions in March. Prosecutors said the brothers used their wealth and social connections to lure women to exclusive gatherings and sexually assault them. At least 70 women were identified by prosecutors as alleged victims.
The brothers have continued to deny drugging, raping or trafficking women, despite the jury’s verdict. During sentencing, several women addressed the court and described the lasting effects of the abuse. The judge described the brothers’ conduct as “monstrous” and questioned whether they should be housed together.
Now, a reported confrontation inside the detention center has raised fresh concerns about their safety. According to the Daily Mail, an inmate who had allegedly harassed the brothers before rushed toward them while they were working in the prison library. A correctional officer reportedly intervened and used pepper spray before the inmate could reach them. Neither brother was reported injured.
The brothers’ communications representative, Juda Engelmayer, said the incident left them shaken. A source familiar with the situation reportedly suggested that the brothers may have been targeted for extortion, although that explanation has not been independently confirmed.
Their family is also concerned about where they will serve their sentences. The brothers have asked to be housed in the same prison, arguing that remaining together would help them cope and make family visits easier. However, the sentencing judge expressed concern that they could negatively influence one another and indicated a preference for separate facilities.

The Federal Bureau of Prisons will make the final placement decisions. The brothers’ lawyers have indicated that they intend to appeal their convictions.
For men who once lived among luxury properties, private jets and exclusive social circles, prison has brought a dramatic change in circumstances. Their future conditions of confinement, including whether they will remain together, have yet to be determined.
