College Student Who Worked on Netflix’s ‘A Different World’ Killed by Driver Allegedly Traveling 94 MPH

A 21-year-old college student with dreams of building a career in film and television was killed in a devastating Atlanta car crash after another driver allegedly sped through a 35 mph zone at nearly 95 mph.
Morgan Gamble, a senior at Clark Atlanta University, died on October 13, 2026, after her vehicle was struck at the intersection of Hank Aaron Drive and Glenn Street in Atlanta, Georgia.
Gamble was studying mass media and had recently worked as a background performer on Netflix’s reboot of the television series A Different World. Her involvement in the production gave her an opportunity to experience the entertainment industry while continuing her university studies.
According to police, the other vehicle was driven by 36-year-old Nikolai Dunford. Investigators allege that data retrieved from his vehicle showed he was traveling at approximately 94.44 mph in an area where the speed limit was 35 mph.
Gamble suffered critical injuries in the collision and was rushed to Grady Memorial Hospital, where she later died. Dunford was also hospitalized before being taken into custody.
He was charged with first-degree vehicular homicide, reckless driving and speeding. The investigation remains ongoing, and the charges are allegations that must be resolved through the legal process.
The tragedy has devastated Gamble’s family, friends and university community. Her parents described her as an ambitious young woman who had a clear vision for her future and a passion for producing films and other creative projects.
Her mother, Brandi Gamble, told local media that her daughter had known from an early age that she wanted to work in production. Her father, George Gamble, expressed disbelief over the alleged speed involved in the crash and called for justice.

Felicia Pride, the showrunner and executive producer of Netflix’s A Different World reboot, also paid tribute to Gamble, remembering her as a promising student who had been part of the production.
Clark Atlanta University expressed condolences to Gamble’s loved ones and made counseling services available to students grieving her death.
For a young woman who was working toward a future in entertainment, the crash cut short a life filled with ambition and possibility. Her family is now left mourning a daughter whose dreams were still unfolding.
