Danny Cipriani’s Ex-Wife Victoria Reveals Secret Eight-Month Cancer Battle Before Major Surgery

Victoria, the former wife of retired England rugby star Danny Cipriani, has revealed that she has been secretly battling cancer for eight months and is now preparing to undergo surgery.

The mother of two shared the deeply personal news in an emotional Instagram post, explaining that her treatment journey began in March. She described becoming so familiar with the hospital that she now recognizes members of staff and knows the building almost as well as her own home.

“Eight months,” she wrote, reflecting on the long period she had spent attending appointments and receiving treatment.

Victoria also announced that she had completed her current course of treatment, with surgery now the next stage of her medical journey.

The mental health campaigner admitted that the experience had frightened her and left her feeling unwell. Some days, she said, had been extremely difficult, although she had also found moments of laughter and learned more about herself than she expected.

She explained that spending so much time in hospital corridors had given her plenty of opportunity to reflect on her life, the decisions she had made and the people she had trusted.

Victoria also addressed online speculation about her changing appearance. She said people had made assumptions about her using weight-loss injections or struggling with heartbreak, despite knowing very little about what she was actually experiencing.

She expressed gratitude to the small group of friends who had supported her throughout the ordeal, saying their calls, encouragement and efforts to make her laugh had helped her through difficult days.

Although she chose not to publicly identify the specific type of cancer, Victoria made clear that the experience had been deeply challenging.

“I’m not giving this a name. It’s had enough attention already,” she wrote.

Victoria was previously married to Cipriani, with the couple tying the knot in 2021 before separating in November 2023. Their divorce became public in 2024 and was accompanied by a series of claims and counterclaims about their relationship.

Cipriani has since moved on and married American actress AnnaLynne McCord in August 2026.

For now, Victoria appears focused on her recovery and the surgery ahead, while sharing a glimpse of a health battle she had kept largely private for months.
