A newly resurfaced set of deleted Reddit posts is adding another important layer to the Lindsay Clancy case, because the posts appear to show Patrick Clancy actively seeking medical advice online as his wife’s condition worsened in the weeks before their three children died.

According to reporting published on September 27, Patrick’s old Reddit activity included posts in which he described Lindsay’s severe insomnia, rapid weight loss, anxiety and possible medication-related behavioral changes. In one December 2022 post, written under the heading “posting for my wife,” the account described sleeping only three to four hours a night, going as long as 48 hours without sleep and being told bipolar disorder might be a possibility. Patrick wrote that Lindsay’s symptoms had intensified after she began taking Zoloft, and later asked online whether medication effects could include thoughts of harming other people. These resurfaced posts do not independently prove that a specific medication caused Lindsay’s later actions, nor do they settle whether she was legally experiencing postpartum psychosis. The timing is especially important now because Lindsay’s first trial ended in a mistrial on September 4 after jurors reportedly split 11–1 on whether she was criminally responsible. Patrick has separately said in his recent 60 Minutes interview that Lindsay’s mental health deteriorated dramatically before the killings and that the family sought treatment repeatedly.
