Escaped Louisiana Inmate Tre’Veon Jackson: Police Release Tattoo Photos as Search Continues
SHREVEPORT, Louisiana — September 21, 2026

Authorities in Louisiana have released photographs of Tre’Veon Jackson’s tattoos as the search continues for the 24-year-old inmate who escaped from custody in Shreveport.

Jackson fled from a Caddo Parish sheriff’s deputy on the night of September 14 while being transported from Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport. He remains at large, and authorities have warned the public not to approach him.

Tattoo Photos Released to Help Identify Him
The Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office released photographs of Jackson’s tattoos to give the public another way to recognize him.

Authorities describe Jackson as approximately 6 feet tall and 150 pounds, with tight braids. When he escaped, he was last reported wearing a white shirt, green shorts and white shoes.

The sheriff’s office said anyone who believes they have seen Jackson should not attempt to approach or apprehend him, but should immediately contact 911.

Escape Followed by Reported Carjacking
Jackson escaped while being returned to the Caddo Correctional Center after a medical evaluation.

Authorities later said he was connected to a reported vehicle theft in Bossier City. Police pursued a vehicle on Highway 80 and Interstate 220 before it crashed, after which Jackson reportedly fled into a wooded area.

A separate surveillance video later showed a man walking through a Haughton mobile-home park around 2:45 a.m. on September 15. Investigators said they could not confirm that the person in the footage was Jackson because of the distance from the camera.

Jackson Faces Serious Pending Charges
Jackson has been in Caddo Correctional Center since 2021 and faces multiple criminal cases, including two counts of second-degree murder and two counts of attempted second-degree murder, according to court records cited by local authorities.

He was also convicted in a separate 2021 armed robbery case in late 2025 and faces sentencing as a habitual offender, according to the Caddo Parish District Attorney’s Office.

Search Remains Active
The Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office said Jackson remained at large in its latest official update and that deputies and partner agencies were continuing to follow leads.

Authorities are offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to Jackson’s arrest.

Anyone who spots Jackson is urged to call 911 rather than attempting to intervene.
