Nicole Kidman appears to have embraced a shorter hairstyle during a sunny getaway to Portofino, Italy, showing off relaxed waves that gave her vacation look an effortless feel.

On September 24, the Practical Magic actress shared a series of photos from her trip to the Italian Riviera, where she appeared to be sporting freshly cropped blonde hair styled in natural, beachy waves.

In one photo, Kidman posed outside the Belmond Hotel wearing a white strappy shift dress. Her hair was pulled into a low ponytail, with loose waves framing her face. She completed the look with oval, silver-rimmed sunglasses featuring pink-tinted lenses.

Another photo showed Kidman relaxing on an outdoor sofa in a burnt orange silk slip dress with white lace trim. Her blonde waves fell around her shoulders and appeared noticeably shorter than in some of her recent public appearances.

Kidman also shared photos with her sister, Antonia Kidman, while posing on a balcony. For the occasion, she wore a flowing white sundress and pulled her shorter hair into a messy high ponytail, leaving several strands loose around her face.

The Italian getaway comes after a busy summer for Kidman, who spent months promoting the long-awaited sequel Practical Magic 2.

During the promotional tour, the actress appeared in a series of glamorous looks, including an icy blue pearl-covered gown at the London premiere, a sheer black lace gown in Los Angeles and a white satin floral cut-out dress in Sydney.

Kidman returned to the red carpet earlier this month for the Emmys, where she wore a white strapless corset gown decorated with floral appliqué.

Her latest vacation photos offered a more relaxed contrast to her recent red carpet appearances, with her shorter waves and casual styling giving her a laid-back summer look.
