A new televised interview with Patrick Clancy is putting fresh attention on the weeks before the deaths of Cora, Dawson and Callan — especially the medical decisions, warning signs and family concerns that preceded the January 2023 tragedy.

Patrick said Lindsay’s condition had deteriorated in late 2022 as she struggled with severe anxiety and sleeplessness. She was eventually admitted to a psychiatric facility, but returned home before the children died. In the interview, Patrick said he believes he did everything he could with the information available to him at the time, while acknowledging that he still revisits those final weeks and wonders whether anything could have changed the outcome.

The interview comes as the criminal case remains unresolved following the September 4 mistrial. Eleven jurors reportedly favored finding Lindsay not criminally responsible, while one juror disagreed, leaving the panel unable to reach a unanimous verdict after seven days of deliberations. A hearing is scheduled for September 29, when the next direction of the case could become clearer.

At the same time, a separate layer of evidence is being examined through civil lawsuits filed by both Lindsay and Patrick, which accuse medical providers of failing to adequately respond to Lindsay’s worsening mental-health symptoms before the children’s deaths. Those allegations have not yet been proven in court, but they could eventually bring additional treatment records, communications and expert testimony into public view.

Patrick has also revealed that he still speaks to his children and asks them for help as he continues grieving. He has publicly forgiven Lindsay and has argued that the focus should remain on perinatal mental health rather than conspiracy theories or online accusations surrounding the case.

One important distinction remains: there has not been a verified new forensic discovery overturning the known evidence in the case. The latest developments are instead adding context to the timeline — including Patrick’s account, the unresolved criminal proceedings and the ongoing malpractice litigation.
