Two People Stabbed at Westchester Community College; Two Suspects in Custody

Two people were stabbed during a violent altercation at Westchester Community College in Valhalla, New York, on Wednesday afternoon, September 16, sending both victims to the hospital and prompting a police investigation.

Westchester County Police received multiple 911 calls at around 12:40 p.m. reporting a stabbing on the college campus. Authorities responded to the scene and took two suspects into custody. A knife was also recovered.

Police later clarified that two people were stabbed. Both victims were transported to Westchester Medical Center for treatment. One suffered serious injuries and required surgery, while the other sustained less serious injuries. Both were later reported to be in stable condition.

The two individuals taken into custody were also injured during the confrontation and were transported to Phelps Hospital for treatment. Police said neither suspect suffered a stab wound. Charges were still pending as the investigation continued.

The incident reportedly began as a physical fight at the campus student center. Authorities said the people involved were current or former students and knew one another. However, police have not yet disclosed what sparked the confrontation or what led to the stabbing.
