Two Women Charged After Deadly Knoxville Shooting Leaves One Woman Dead
KNOXVILLE, TENNESSEE — September 21, 2026

Two women have been arrested and charged following an early-morning shooting in Knoxville that left one woman dead and injured two others, according to the Knoxville Police Department.

The shooting happened at approximately 5:30 a.m. Saturday, September 19, at 411 East Hill Avenue.

One Woman Dies After Shooting
Police said three people — two women and one man — were struck by gunfire.

One of the women was taken to Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center, where she later died from her injuries. The victim was identified as 26-year-old Tiana Younger, according to local reports.

The other woman and the man were treated at the University of Tennessee Medical Center and were later released. Their injuries were described as non-life-threatening.

Two Women Arrested
Investigators identified 45-year-old Lerisha Williams as a suspect in the shooting that killed Younger. Williams was arrested and charged with reckless homicide along with weapons-related offenses.

Police identified 22-year-old Quinshayla Williams as the person accused of shooting the surviving woman and man. She faces two counts of attempted first-degree murder and additional weapons charges.

According to court records reported by local media, the shooting occurred during a confrontation outside a Shell station. Investigators allege that Williams was involved in a physical altercation when the firearm was discharged.

Investigation Continues
Knoxville police said detectives are continuing to review surveillance footage, interview witnesses and process evidence from the scene.

The circumstances leading to the confrontation remain under investigation.

Both women face criminal charges and are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
