Four Babies, One Secret

Part 2: The Bride’s Terrifying Secret

The entire Whitmore estate fell silent.

Julian stared at the DNA results as if the paper had just destroyed his entire world.

“Four children,” he whispered. “Evelyn, you had my four children, and you never told me?”

I met his gaze calmly.

“I tried to tell you something important that day. You were too busy comforting your pregnant mistress.”

His face drained of color.

Behind him, Vanessa suddenly grabbed his arm.

“Julian, don’t listen to her! She’s trying to ruin our wedding!”

But Julian barely seemed to hear her. He was staring at the four toddlers standing beside me.

Noah hid shyly behind my leg. Ethan watched Julian with curious eyes, while Grace and Lily held hands, confused by the tension surrounding them.

Julian slowly knelt in front of them.

“Hello,” he whispered, his voice breaking. “I’m Julian.”

Noah tilted his head.

“Mommy says we don’t talk to strangers.”

A few guests gasped. Someone near the champagne fountain covered a laugh.

Julian looked as though those innocent words had hurt him more than any insult ever could.

“I suppose I deserve that,” he murmured.

Then Richard Whitmore stepped forward, his expression hardening.

“Enough. We need to discuss this privately. Evelyn, whatever you want, we’ll negotiate.”

I smiled coldly.

“You already negotiated with me, Richard. Twelve million dollars to disappear.”

“And you accepted it!”

“Yes. Because I believed I was protecting myself from a family that didn’t want me.”

I glanced at my children.

“Now I’m protecting four people who deserve better than all of you.”

Before Richard could respond, Vanessa suddenly screamed.

“Those children don’t matter! My boys are Julian’s rightful heirs!”

The room went silent again.

Julian slowly stood.

“Vanessa, what did you just say?”

She froze.

I took a step toward her.

“You’re very confident about their paternity. Perhaps we should find out why.”

Vanessa’s fingers tightened around her bouquet.

Richard immediately intervened.

“That won’t be necessary.”

“Why not?” Julian demanded.

For the first time, his father looked genuinely frightened.

Vanessa began shaking her head.

“No. Julian, please. You promised you would never question my children.”

Julian stared at her.

“I promised because you told me they were mine.”

Her silence answered him more clearly than words.

He turned toward his private security chief.

“Arrange DNA testing for all three boys. Today.”

Vanessa lunged toward him, tears streaming down her face.

“Please! You don’t understand what your father did!”

Every head turned toward Richard.

His jaw tightened.

“Vanessa, be quiet.”

But it was too late.

Julian stepped between them.

“What did my father do?”

Vanessa looked from Richard to Julian, then at me.

Finally, she whispered the words that shattered the room.

“Your father knew the truth from the beginning.”

Richard’s face turned ashen.

And Julian realized that the betrayal he’d discovered that morning had started long before his wedding day.
