Married Couple and Their Two Young Children Among Nine Killed in Florida Learjet Crash

A married couple and their two young children were among nine people killed when a private Learjet crashed into a Florida neighborhood during a flight to the Bahamas.
The victims were identified by family members as Austin-based technology entrepreneur Adam Robinson, 45, his wife Helen Sharp, 40, and their children, Emma, 4, and Charlie, 2. The family had been traveling aboard the Learjet 60, which crashed in Palm Beach County on Sunday, November 1, 2026.
The aircraft had departed Austin, Texas, at approximately 10:37 a.m. Eastern Time and was heading to North Eleuthera in the Bahamas. All nine people aboard, including two crew members and seven passengers, died in the crash.
Robinson’s brother, Anthony, paid tribute to the family in an online statement, describing Adam and Helen as deeply loving parents whose warmth and generosity touched many people. He said their children had been the center of their lives.
Sharp was known for her work as a ceramic artist and for founding the Austin public relations firm Be Influential. Robinson was an entrepreneur who founded and led several technology companies, including Retention.com and RB2B.
Two close friends of the couple, Rachael Reed and Charmi Fehr, were also among the passengers, along with the family’s nanny, Anita Maria Cetina.
The crash occurred near Military Trail in the Greenacres area of Palm Beach County, close to West Palm Beach. The aircraft struck the ground shortly before 1 p.m. local time, creating a large impact crater and scattering debris across nearby properties.
Investigators with the National Transportation Safety Board said the crew had reported moderate turbulence and ice forming on the aircraft shortly before the emergency. The pilots then reported an overspeed condition and a rapid descent before issuing a Mayday call.
NTSB officials also said there were indications that the aircraft may have begun breaking apart before impact. Investigators are examining the wreckage, flight data and weather conditions to determine what caused the disaster.

The crash also injured a person on the ground, while hundreds of residents in nearby mobile homes were evacuated as emergency crews responded.
The identities of the victims have been shared by relatives as authorities continue the formal identification process. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
