A 70-year-old woman was rescued in Odisha after surviving nearly 12 hours in the Brahmani River and drifting about 30 kilometers downstream.
The woman, identified as Kesi Dalai, had reportedly gone near the riverbank on Saturday when she was swept into the river. She remained in the water for hours before eventually being found and rescued.

A Long Search
According to a report carried by ANI on September 29, Dalai survived the difficult ordeal despite spending much of the night in the river. She was eventually located after drifting downstream for approximately 30 kilometers.
Her rescue brought an end to a dangerous period in which she had been exposed to the river for nearly half a day.
Rescued After Hours in the Water
Details released about the incident said Dalai had been swept away while she was near the riverbank. After being found, she was brought to safety and received assistance.
