Daughter Reunites With Mother After Searching for Her for 32 Years

A woman in Florida has been reunited with her 86-year-old mother after searching for her for 32 years, in an emotional reunion in Las Vegas.

Mary Klein had spent decades trying to locate her mother, Song Kim Bartley. Her search eventually brought her to Las Vegas, where she and a friend spent nearly a week looking for Bartley.

The breakthrough came after members of the public provided information about Bartley’s whereabouts. Las Vegas police helped locate her at Bonneyview Transit Station, where she was found safe.

Klein’s friend, Jeanie Inglis, said the search had been emotionally difficult but that they refused to give up. She described Bartley’s discovery as a “miracle” and credited tips from members of the public and media coverage with helping them find her.

The reunion was especially significant because Bartley will now have the opportunity to meet three grandchildren she had never met before.

After finding her mother, Klein took Bartley to a hotel, where they had dinner and spent time talking. The family then began making arrangements to return to Florida together.

Klein also expressed gratitude to Las Vegas police and people living on the streets who helped provide information during the search.

For Klein, the reunion ended more than three decades of uncertainty and brought her face-to-face with the mother she had spent years trying to find.
