Doorbell Camera Captures Terrifying Moments as Pennsylvania Family Shooting Unfolds

Disturbing doorbell camera footage has reportedly captured the moments two women approached a Pennsylvania home shortly before they were fatally shot in a mass killing that left eight family members dead.

The shooting occurred in Erie, Pennsylvania, on October 9, 2026. Authorities identified the suspected gunman as Matthew Stone Sr., 45, who was found dead inside the property from what investigators described as an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.

According to reports, the victims included Stone’s wife, Michelle Stone, 44; his daughter, Angelina Stone, 24; and his sons, Matthew Stone Jr., 21, and Jonathan Stone, 19. Two young children and two women who had come to help the family were also killed. Angelina was reportedly pregnant at the time of the shooting.

The doorbell footage reportedly shows Lora Roberts, 37, and Twila Tanner, 51, arriving at the property after concerns arose about Angelina. The women appeared distressed as they approached the house. Gunfire was then heard, according to accounts of the footage.

Investigators said the two women were shot outside the home. Police subsequently entered the property and discovered the other victims.

In the aftermath, relatives reportedly described a troubling home environment in which Stone exerted control over members of his family. Investigators have been examining those accounts alongside other evidence to understand the circumstances leading up to the killings.

Angelina had reportedly expressed concerns about her father’s behavior before the tragedy. Authorities continue to investigate the sequence of events and the possible motive behind the shooting.

The case has devastated the local community, with the deaths of multiple generations of one family and two women who reportedly came to offer assistance raising urgent questions about whether warning signs had been missed.
