Mother Finds Her Daughter After 32 Years of Searching in Las Vegas

A Florida woman has finally been reunited with her mother after spending 32 years searching for her.

Mary Klein had been looking for her mother, Song Kim Bartley, 86, for decades. The search finally ended in Las Vegas after tips from the public helped police locate Bartley at a transit station.

Klein had traveled to Las Vegas with her friend Jeanie Inglis, who helped search the city for nearly a week. They visited areas where Bartley might have been staying and spoke with people who could potentially provide information.

The breakthrough came after local media reported that Klein was searching for her mother. The publicity generated tips that eventually helped direct the search toward Bartley.

Las Vegas police later located the 86-year-old woman at Bonneyview Transit Station. She was found safe, allowing Klein and her mother to finally see each other again after more than three decades apart.

Inglis described the moment as a miracle and said the pair were grateful for the help they received from police and members of the local community.

The reunion also means Bartley will meet family members she has never previously known. Klein’s three children — Bartley’s grandchildren — are now expected to meet their grandmother for the first time.

After finding her mother, Klein took Bartley to a hotel, where they had dinner and spent time talking. The two are now traveling back to Florida together.

The search had lasted so long that Klein’s friend described the experience as years of pain and uncertainty. But after 32 years, a series of public tips and the work of local police finally brought mother and daughter back together.

For Klein, the reunion marks the end of a search that began more than three decades ago — and the beginning of a chance for Bartley to meet the family she had never known.
