A new development is drawing attention in the Ohio case involving Elizabeth Siders, her husband Gary Siders Jr., and his parents, Gary Siders Sr. and Christina Siders. Authorities say 16 children were removed from a home in Hamden, Ohio, on June 30, 2026, and the four adults were arrested on felony child-endangerment charges.

Newly released jail surveillance footage shows Elizabeth Siders during the booking process after her arrest. In the footage, she is seen wearing an orange jail uniform and sitting during questioning by authorities. Reports about the video have drawn particular attention to a visible mark on her arm, although officials have not publicly established what caused it.

The investigation centers on allegations concerning the conditions in the family’s home. Authorities said the 16 children, ranging from about 18 months to 18 years old, were found living in extremely poor conditions, with reports describing a small room where many of the children had reportedly been confined. The four adults were each initially charged with 16 counts of felony child endangerment, and they have pleaded not guilty.

Another major development has emerged: prosecutors have indicated that a grand jury could consider additional serious felony charges, according to court filings reported in August. That means the case may expand beyond the charges initially announced following the June 30 arrests.
