A heartbreaking tragedy has shaken a California family after a six-year-old boy was fatally injured in an accidental vehicle collision outside his family’s home.

Terrick El Guindy, 48, a judge associated with the world-famous Mr. Olympia bodybuilding competition, was reportedly driving a Tesla Cybertruck when he accidentally struck his young son, Preston, shortly before 9 p.m. Saturday on Brookhaven Court in Temecula, California, near Highway 79.

The family immediately called 911, and emergency responders rushed Preston to Inland Valley Medical Center in Wildomar. Despite efforts to save him, the six-year-old boy sadly died at the hospital later that night.

According to a GoFundMe organized by family friend Stefanie Chesbro, Preston had been playing outside in his neighborhood when the tragic accident occurred.

His family described him as a joyful child whose smile brought happiness to everyone around him.

“To know Preston is to love him,” the fundraiser said, remembering the little boy and the impact he had on those closest to him.

Preston’s parents and his sister, Scarlett, are now facing the devastating loss of a child and brother.

The family also shared that Preston had only recently started first grade, making the tragedy even more difficult for those who knew him.

 INVESTIGATION UNDERWAY

California Highway Patrol investigators questioned El Guindy following the collision. According to CHP, he was not arrested, and authorities said the Cybertruck was not operating in autopilot mode at the time of the incident.

Investigators are continuing to examine exactly how the collision happened, including what the driver could see and whether any vehicle alerts may have provided information about someone behind the truck.

CHP has expressed condolences to the family and everyone affected by the loss.

At this stage, authorities have not publicly indicated that the incident was intentional. The circumstances remain under investigation.
