20-Year-Old Gastonia Shooting Survivor Used Her Nose to Call for Help After Being Shot

💔 A 20-year-old woman critically wounded in a deadly Gastonia shooting reportedly used the tip of her nose to call her boyfriend for help after she was left unable to use her hands.

Autumn Setola, 20, was among the survivors of the shooting at a home in Gastonia, North Carolina, that left two people dead and two others critically injured.

Victoria “Heather” Moore and Josiah Bumgardner were killed at the scene, while Setola and her 21-year-old stepbrother, Keaton Moore, were critically wounded. Police identified Camryn Moore, 26, and Cory Armstrong, 29, as being involved in the shooting.

Setola suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was initially in critical condition. Unable to use her hands after the attack, she reportedly found another way to reach someone for help.

According to loved ones, Setola used the tip of her nose to dial her boyfriend, Jacob Henson, after the shooting. The unexpected call alerted him that something was seriously wrong, and he contacted authorities while making his way to the scene.

Her determination to survive continued after she reached the hospital. Setola underwent surgeries for her injuries and has since been moved out of the intensive care unit. She remains hospitalized and continues to receive treatment as doctors work through the extensive injuries she suffered.

Her stepbrother, Keaton Moore, was also critically injured. Family members have expressed concern about the severity of his injuries and the possibility that he could face long-term physical consequences.

The two people police identified as suspects, Camryn Moore and Cory Armstrong, fled North Carolina after the shooting and were later located in Ohio. They died during a police pursuit. Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding their deaths, including the possibility that they were self-inflicted, while certain details remain under investigation.

The shooting has left the Gastonia community grieving the victims while loved ones continue to rally around the two survivors. For Autumn, her decision to reach for her phone in the middle of the chaos may have played a crucial role in getting help when she needed it most.

As the investigation continues, Setola remains focused on recovery, facing additional surgeries and treatment after surviving an attack that claimed the lives of two people close to her.
