Los Angeles Father Accused of Killing His Two Young Sons After Lunch Outing, Then Turning Gun on Himself

A family outing ended in tragedy when two young brothers were fatally shot in broad daylight in Los Angeles. Their father allegedly opened fire on the children before turning the gun on himself, but he survived and is now facing murder charges.
Adolfo Gramajo, 35, was arrested after the shooting on October 11, 2026, near the intersection of Venice Boulevard and Catalina Street in the Pico-Union neighborhood, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The victims were identified as 4-year-old Jimmy Gramajo-Bonilla and his 11-year-old brother, Osmani Gramajo-Bonilla. Police said both boys were taken to a hospital, where they were pronounced dead. Their father was also transported for treatment after suffering an apparently self-inflicted gunshot wound.
According to reports cited by PEOPLE, the boys had gone out to lunch with their father shortly before the shooting. Investigators are still working to establish what led to the deadly incident.
Family friends described the brothers as happy, innocent children who did not deserve what happened to them. A fundraising campaign was created to help support their grieving mother as she faces the emotional and financial consequences of losing both children.
Gramajo was booked into custody on October 17 and is being held on $4 million bail, according to the LAPD. He faces two counts of murder, and prosecutors are expected to pursue the case through the courts.

Authorities said no additional suspects are being sought and there is no ongoing threat to the public. The motive remains under investigation.
The tragedy has left loved ones mourning two young lives cut short and searching for answers about how an ordinary day ended in such devastating circumstances.
