Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen and his wife, actress Hailee Steinfeld, are sharing a glimpse into life with their five-month-old daughter, Harper Haize Allen, as the NFL star prepares for another game.

The Bills entered Week 3 with a 2-0 record, with Allen playing a major role in the team’s strong start. The 30-year-old quarterback recently earned his 19th career AFC Offensive Player of the Week honor after delivering a five-touchdown performance against the Detroit Lions.

Allen completed 20 of 31 passes for 248 yards and three passing touchdowns, while also rushing 14 times for 69 yards and two scores in Buffalo’s 41-31 victory.

Away from the football field, Allen said becoming a father has given him a different perspective and has helped him separate his professional pressures from his family life.

During an appearance on Fitz & Whit with Ryan Fitzpatrick and Andrew Whitworth, Allen spoke about how his daughter has influenced him both personally and professionally.

The quarterback acknowledged that he can sometimes be his own harshest critic and struggle with negative self-talk. However, he said returning home to his family allows him to put those thoughts aside.

Allen explained that his daughter does not know or care about what happened during his workday and is simply happy to see him when he walks through the door.

He said that feeling has helped him compartmentalize his professional responsibilities, allowing him to focus fully on being a father and husband when he is at home.

Allen said fatherhood has brought a sense of freshness and a new perspective as he continues his professional career.

While Allen has been reaching milestones on the football field, Harper has been hitting new milestones of her own at home.

Steinfeld, 29, recently revealed in her Beau Society newsletter that their daughter has started crawling. She described spending time with Harper on the living room floor as one of her favorite activities.

Steinfeld also opened up about how quickly her daughter is growing and joked that she is not yet ready to think about Harper beginning to talk.

Earlier this summer, the Oscar-nominated actress wrote a heartfelt letter to her daughter, reflecting on the couple’s experience as new parents.

Steinfeld shared that she and Allen often look at Harper and ask each other how they were lucky enough to have her.

The couple’s comments offer a rare glimpse into their family life as they balance parenthood with demanding careers in entertainment and professional football.
