Wyoming Mother of Two Reported Missing After Failing to Pick Up Her Children

CASPER, WYOMING — November 2, 2026 — A Wyoming family is seeking answers after a 30-year-old mother of two disappeared last week, prompting concern when she failed to collect her children from an after-school program.
Kandice Gunter was reported missing on October 29 after she did not arrive to pick up her children, ages nine and six, in Casper. Her family said the unexpected absence was highly unusual and immediately raised concerns about her safety.
According to published reports, Gunter had recently relocated from Nevada to Wyoming to be closer to her children. She had been living in Casper for approximately one month before her disappearance.
Her sister, Kayla Gunter, said the two maintained frequent contact, often speaking several times a day. However, communication unexpectedly stopped shortly before Kandice was reported missing.
Family members also drew attention to a Facebook message Kandice had shared days earlier, referring to personal success and remaining quiet. Although the post attracted attention after her disappearance, there is no confirmed evidence connecting the message to what happened.
Kayla said their last conversation did not suggest that her sister intended to leave town or stop communicating with loved ones.
Investigators have been working to establish Kandice’s movements. Authorities reported that she was last known to be in Natrona County, and information associated with her cellphone led investigators to examine locations elsewhere in Wyoming, including an area near Highway 387.
Police identified the vehicle associated with her disappearance as a gray 2016 GMC Canyon pickup truck displaying temporary Wyoming registration.
Kandice is described as approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall, with black hair, blue eyes, and several distinctive tattoos, including a butterfly tattoo on her neck.
Her disappearance has left relatives searching for answers while hoping for information that could help establish her whereabouts.
Authorities have encouraged anyone with relevant information to contact the Casper Police Department.

As of the latest reports reviewed on November 2, no confirmed explanation for her disappearance had been publicly established. The circumstances remain unclear, and speculation about what may have happened has not been supported by verified evidence.
For Kandice’s family, the priority remains finding her and obtaining reliable information about her safety.
