Arizona Mother Fights Off Home Intruder — Then Police Uncover an Alleged Plot Involving Her Own Fiancé

An Arizona mother was at home with her two young children when a stranger allegedly forced his way inside and attacked her. What initially appeared to be a terrifying home invasion took an even more disturbing turn when investigators uncovered messages that allegedly connected the attacker to the woman’s fiancé.
The incident happened on October 16, 2026, at a home in Buckeye, Arizona. The woman, identified as Bella Torres, said an unfamiliar man approached her door and asked to use the bathroom. According to court documents, he then forced his way inside and grabbed her by the neck.
Torres was home with her two children at the time. During the struggle, the intruder allegedly kicked her 17-month-old daughter, causing the toddler to fall and hit her head against a baby gate. The man also allegedly tried to remove Torres’ clothing and groped her.
Rather than surrender, Torres fought back. The confrontation moved outside into the driveway, where she managed to push and strike the attacker before he fled. A neighbor reportedly heard her screaming and helped her contact police.
The suspect was identified as 20-year-old Adrian Ayala and arrested the following day. According to investigators, Ayala told authorities that he had met Torres’ fiancé, 23-year-old Zarian Dyer, online and had reached an agreement with him to sexually assault her.
Detectives seized electronic devices belonging to both men. Police said they discovered Reddit communications that allegedly showed the pair discussing the attack, including its timing and how Ayala could enter the home. Prosecutors also alleged that Dyer wanted Ayala to contact him by FaceTime during the assault.
Dyer was arrested on October 29 while at work. He faces charges including aggravated assault, sexual abuse, attempted sexual assault, kidnapping and conspiracy. Ayala also faces charges connected to the alleged attack.
Ayala’s attorney argued in court that his client believed he was participating in a consensual role-play scenario arranged by Dyer. Torres, however, has said she did not know Ayala and had never agreed to such an encounter. Police have said they found evidence suggesting the attack was planned, but investigators have not established a motive.

The case has left a family facing serious questions about how an online conversation allegedly turned into a violent confrontation inside their home. Both men are accused of criminal conduct, and the charges have yet to be resolved in court.
