Patrick Clancy and Dr. Rachel Danis Open Up About Their Relationship in First Joint 60 Minutes Interview

Patrick Clancy and Dr. Rachel Danis are speaking publicly about their relationship for the first time in a joint interview with 60 Minutes, months after they married in 2026.

CBS News released a preview of the upcoming interview, in which Danis offered a glimpse into how she first met Patrick. She said the two crossed paths in New York City after she encountered him while he was running in Central Park on what she described as a very cold Saturday.

In the preview, Danis also pushed back against the intense public attention surrounding their relationship. She described Patrick as “the most selfless father and supportive partner,” saying she hopes people understand the person she knows rather than the version of their story portrayed online.

The couple married in April 2026, according to CBS News and other reports. Their relationship has drawn significant public interest because Patrick was previously married to Lindsay Clancy, whose 2026 murder trial involving the deaths of their three children ended in a mistrial.

Patrick and Danis will appear together in their first joint television interview with correspondent Ross Douthat. CBS says the conversation will touch on grief, Patrick’s memories of his children and the intense online attention surrounding his personal life.

Patrick has also spoken about maintaining a connection with his three children, Cora, Dawson and Callan. In a preview of the interview, he said he still talks to them “all the time” and described it as a way of remaining connected to them.

The full interview is scheduled to air Sunday, September 20, 2026, at 7 p.m. ET/PT on CBS and Paramount+. CBS describes it as Patrick and Danis’ first joint interview since their relationship became a subject of widespread public attention.
