Florida Woman Indicted After Gunfire Hits Rihanna’s Home in Los Angeles
A Florida woman has been indicted on 14 felony counts after prosecutors accused her of firing a semiautomatic rifle toward Rihanna’s home in Los Angeles earlier this year.
Ivanna Lisette Ortiz, 36, was indicted by a Los Angeles County grand jury. The indictment was unsealed on September 30, 2026, several months after the shooting.
Gunfire Hit the Property
The shooting happened on March 8 at about 1:20 p.m. Authorities allege that Ortiz drove to the Beverly Crest area in a Tesla and fired multiple rounds toward a home belonging to Rihanna.
According to prosecutors, Rihanna, her partner A$AP Rocky, their children and other people were at the property when the shooting occurred. No one was injured.
Bullets Struck a Trailer and Nursery
Authorities said bullets struck an Airstream trailer where Rihanna and A$AP Rocky were staying. Gunfire also hit the exterior wall of a nursery where the couple’s children and a nanny were present.
A neighboring property was also struck during the incident, according to prosecutors.

Police Arrested Ortiz Shortly After the Shooting
After the shooting, Ortiz allegedly drove away from the area. Police later located her in Sherman Oaks and arrested her.
Investigators recovered a rifle, and prosecutors subsequently filed attempted-murder and firearms-related charges against her.
Grand Jury Returns 14 Charges
The indictment includes one count of attempted murder, 10 counts of assault with an assault weapon and three counts of shooting at an inhabited dwelling or camper.
Ortiz pleaded not guilty. A judge ordered her held on $2.65 million bail, and she is scheduled to return to court for a pretrial hearing on October 29.
The Case Moves Toward Trial
A judge ruled on September 29 that Ortiz was competent to stand trial following months of psychiatric evaluations. The grand jury had returned the indictment on June 18, but it remained sealed until the competency proceedings were completed.
The prosecution has not publicly established a motive for the shooting. The case remains under investigation by the Los Angeles Police Department’s Robbery-Homicide Division.
Defendant Presumed Innocent
The charges against Ortiz are allegations. She has pleaded not guilty, and she is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
