Newlywed Dominick Bianchi Found Dead Days After Being Reported Missing

A New York family is mourning the loss of Dominick Bianchi, 35, after the newlywed was found dead several days after he was reported missing.

Bianchi, of East Greenbush, New York, was reported missing on September 8, 2026. He had married his wife, Julianna Zyra, only a few months earlier. The couple had been married for approximately four months at the time of his death.

Authorities and volunteers conducted an extensive search in the days that followed. Police used drones, K-9 units and assistance from other agencies while members of the public also searched the surrounding area. Bianchi was ultimately found deceased in a wooded area on September 13.

His disappearance had prompted growing concern among his family and friends. His cellphone, wallet and vehicle had been left behind at his home, according to police. His wife had also publicly pleaded for him to return home during the search.

Following the discovery, Bianchi’s father-in-law, Larry Zyra, described the family’s grief as “intense pain.”

“Four months ago, we experienced the joy of welcoming Dom into our family, and now we feel the intense pain of his loss,” Zyra said in a statement shared with local media. He described Bianchi as a husband, son, brother, nephew and friend who would be deeply missed.

Zyra also thanked police officers, search-and-rescue personnel, volunteers and community members who helped look for Bianchi during the difficult search.

The cause of death has not been officially released. Authorities have indicated that the circumstances remain under examination, with an autopsy being conducted to determine what happened.

East Greenbush police have not publicly released details suggesting that Bianchi’s death was suspicious. The investigation remains focused on determining the circumstances and official cause of his death.

For his family, the tragedy comes only months after they welcomed Bianchi as a new member of their family—and shortly after he began married life with Julianna.
