Pennsylvania Man Convicted After Taking Intoxicated 17-Year-Old on Jet Ski Ride
A Pennsylvania man has been found guilty of raping a 17-year-old girl who prosecutors said was intoxicated and unable to consent during a July 2024 outing along the Susquehanna River.
Salvador Villa-Del Toro, 28, was convicted following a five-day trial in Lancaster County. Jurors found him guilty of multiple charges, including rape of an unconscious victim, sexual assault, unlawful contact with a minor, corruption of minors, indecent assault and aggravated assault.

The Jet Ski Ride
According to prosecutors, the teenager had been drinking with friends along the river in Martic Township when Villa-Del Toro arrived on a jet ski and offered to take her for a ride.
The girl later testified that Villa-Del Toro took her to an unidentified island on the Susquehanna River. She said she was in and out of consciousness and unable to consent.
About an hour later, the teenager returned to her friends. They immediately became concerned after seeing that she was having difficulty standing and walking.
Her friends contacted police because they feared she may have been experiencing a medical emergency or had been drugged. Troopers responded but were unable to speak with her because of her condition, and she was taken to a hospital.
Evidence Presented at Trial
A medical examination included a vaginal swab that prosecutors said matched Villa-Del Toro’s DNA.
According to the Lancaster County District Attorney’s Office, Villa-Del Toro initially denied having sexual contact with the teenager. He later acknowledged that a sexual encounter had occurred but characterized it as consensual.
Prosecutors argued that he knew the teenager was intoxicated at the time.
After approximately an hour of deliberation, the jury returned guilty verdicts on all charges.
Sentencing Still Ahead
Villa-Del Toro has not yet been sentenced. Judge Todd Brown, who presided over the trial, is expected to determine his sentence at a later hearing. The sentencing date had not been announced in the latest reports.
The case has drawn attention because the conviction followed an incident that began as a recreational river outing but ultimately led to a criminal investigation and a jury trial.
