Second Man Arrested for Murder After 19-Year-Old Dies in Luton E-Bike Crash

A second man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a 19-year-old man died following a collision involving a car and an e-bike in Luton, England.

Bedfordshire Police said emergency services were called to Dallow Road shortly after 10:50 p.m. on Friday, September 18, following reports of a road traffic collision.

Officers found the 19-year-old with serious injuries. Despite treatment by emergency services, he was pronounced dead shortly afterwards.

Second Arrest in Murder Investigation
A man in his 20s was arrested on suspicion of murder on Tuesday and remained in police custody for questioning.

The arrest came after another 20-year-old man had already been charged with murder in connection with the teenager’s death.

Police have not released the name of the 19-year-old victim.

Police Appeal for Information
Detective Inspector Caeva Taylor, from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Major Crime Unit, said the investigation was continuing and appealed to anyone with information to come forward.

Investigators are particularly seeking witnesses and anyone who may have doorbell or dashcam footage from the area around the time of the incident.

Police have also asked members of the public not to share videos of the incident on social media, as such footage could form part of the investigation.

Investigation Continues
Dallow Road was closed while investigators examined the scene and worked to establish what happened before and after the collision.

The circumstances that led to the teenager’s death remain under investigation.

The two men arrested in connection with the case have not been convicted, and the allegations against them have not been proven in court.
