TikToker Dakota Harper Overwhelm With Emotions … After Setback In Court

TikToker Dakota Harper Becomes Emotional After Court Setback as Bond Is Doubled
TikTok creator Dakota Harper reportedly became emotional during a court appearance Monday after a judge made a significant change to the conditions surrounding his release.
Harper, 21, appeared in Kanawha County Magistrate Court in Charleston, West Virginia, where Judge Leslie Grace increased his bond from $10,000 to $20,000. According to WCHS, the court also ordered that Harper would be placed under home confinement if he is released on bond.
The court development comes less than two weeks after Harper and his fiancée, Felicity Eatmon, 22, were arrested in connection with a fire at an abandoned property on Charleston’s West Side.
The pair have each been charged with first-degree arson and conspiracy to commit arson. The charges stem from a September 27 fire at a vacant residence on Maryland Avenue.
According to a criminal complaint cited by authorities, investigators reviewed surveillance footage that allegedly showed Harper and Eatmon near the property shortly before the fire. The complaint describes footage that investigators say showed the pair near a side entrance of the building before the blaze began.
Authorities allege that the surveillance footage showed Eatmon handing Harper what appeared to be a piece of paper. Investigators say the paper was then ignited and placed inside the property.
The complaint further alleges that the pair left the area after the fire developed.

The incident reportedly caused significant damage beyond the abandoned property itself. According to investigators, the nearby Canaan United Methodist Church sustained more than $10,000 in damage as a result of the blaze.
Harper and Eatmon initially faced $10,000 bonds. Following Monday’s hearing, Harper’s bond was doubled to $20,000, while Eatmon’s bond remained at $10,000. WCHS reported that Eatmon was scheduled to appear in court separately.
The case has attracted additional attention because Harper and Eatmon are known on TikTok, where they have shared videos about their lives and relationship. Their joint account had accumulated tens of thousands of followers before their arrests.
For Harper, the latest hearing represents another development in a case that is still moving through the court system. His emotional reaction during the proceeding has also drawn attention online, particularly after the judge announced the increased bond and potential home-confinement requirement.

At this stage, however, it is important to distinguish allegations from proven facts. Harper and Eatmon have been charged, but the accusations against them have not been established as facts in court. The surveillance footage and investigators’ claims described in the criminal complaint are part of the prosecution’s case, and the defendants remain entitled to the presumption of innocence unless and until proven guilty.
The legal proceedings are expected to continue as the court considers the charges and evidence surrounding the September fire.
